Caritas Bangladesh is a national level local non-profit development organization, which implements social welfare and developmental activities. Registered with the Microcredit Regulatory Authority (MRA) (Registration No. 00032-00286-00184 dated March 16, 2008), Caritas Bangladesh has been operating microfinance programs in rural areas of Bangladesh since 1982 for the economic empowerment of program partners. - Work Location: Sirajdikhan, Louhajang, Srinagar, Nawabganj, Rupganj, Araihazar, Kapasia and Kaliganj Upazilas under Munshiganj, Dhaka, Narayanganj and Gazipur districts.
- Appointments will be made immediately and will be made on a merit-based panel, which will be made in phases. There is an opportunity for promotion to higher positions based on performance and qualifications.
Brief responsibilities and duties
- The candidate will have to work with 18-20 regular associations and 400-500 regular members. Ensure 100% loan disbursement and loan recovery.
- Submitting savings and loan installments collected from the association to the branch office on a daily basis. Filling out loan application forms and making recommendations for loan disbursement.
- Ensuring the members’ pass books and resolutions of the association. The candidate must have communication skills and be proficient in using a smart mobile phone.

Application rules
- The application should be made in writing on white paper by the undersigned, stating a) candidate’s name, b) father’s/husband’s name, c) mother’s name, d) date of application, o) current address/contact address, f) permanent address, g) mobile number and email number, h) educational qualification, i) religion, j) nationality, k) marital status, l) names and addresses of two respected persons (including mobile numbers and email addresses) and relationship to the applicant.
- The application form must be accompanied by a copy of the educational qualification certificate, a photocopy of the National Identity Card (NID), a character certificate, two (2) recent passport-sized photographs, and a photocopy of the work experience certificate (if any).
- Job seekers must submit their application along with a no-objection letter from the appropriate authority.
- Those who are currently studying (students) and those who are not involved in smoking or consuming tobacco products need not apply.
- The selected candidate will have to submit a written undertaking of 300.00 (three hundred) taka on ‘Mon-Judicial Stamp’ from two respected persons (government employees or employees in reputable institutions) of the candidate’s own village or area, stating that they are ‘agreeing to bear the responsibility in case of financial irregularities by the candidate’.
- The selected Credit Officer candidate will be appointed as a trainee for 6 (six) months, which can be extended for another 3 (three) months if necessary. On satisfactory completion of the trainee period, permanent appointment will be made and salary/allowances will be paid as per the rules of the organization.
- In case of post no. 1, the selected candidate will have to deposit 15,000 (fifteen thousand) Taka as security deposit before joining the job and in case of post no. 2, the selected candidate will have to deposit 5,000/- (five thousand) Taka as security deposit, which is refundable with interest after the end of the job. In addition, the selected candidate for post no. 1 will have to deposit the original certificates of all educational qualifications with the Caritas Dhaka Regional Office.
- After the initial selection, only eligible and shortlisted candidates will be issued interview cards/informed through mobile phone SMS to participate in the written and oral tests.
