Jagannath University Admission Circular 2025-2026 Session

Only those students who have passed the SSC/equivalent examination in 2022 or 2023 and HSC/equivalent examination in 2025 and fulfill the prescribed conditions for admission to various units of Jagannath University will be able to apply for admission to Bachelor (Honours) and BBA 1st year in the academic year 2025-2026. Jagannath University Application Fee

The applicant will have to pay 100/- (one hundred) taka as the initial application fee at the time of filling the online application. The applicants from the 1st to 40000th selected in the merit order from among the applicants in each unit will be allowed to participate in the examination. All the applicants who are selected in the initial selection will have to pay 700/- (seven hundred) taka as the final application fee and download the Admit Card to participate in the examination. Jagannath University Admission Eligibility

Unit/Faculty Students from all branches can apply Minimum Qualifications
Unit-A (Faculty of Science and Life and Earth Sciences) Science, Madrasa (Science), HSC (Vocational) The total GPA in both SSC/equivalent and HSC/equivalent examinations must be 8.0. However, the GPA obtained in any examination must not be less than 3.5.
Unit-B (Faculty of Arts and Law) All branches The total GPA in both SSC/equivalent and HSC/equivalent examinations must be 7.0. However, the GPA obtained in any examination must not be less than 3.0.
Unit-C (Faculty of Business Studies) All branches The total GPA in both SSC/equivalent and HSC/equivalent examinations must be 7.5. However, the GPA obtained in any examination must not be less than 3.0.
Unit-D (Faculty of Social Sciences) All branches The total GPA in both SSC/equivalent and HSC/equivalent examinations must be 7.0. However, the GPA obtained in any examination must not be less than 3.0.
Unit-E (Faculty of Fine Arts) Students from all branches can apply. Students with pre-BFA certificates from National University can also apply, subject to meeting the conditions. The total GPA in both SSC/equivalent and HSC/equivalent examinations must be 6.5. However, the GPA obtained in any examination must not be less than 3.0.

Students who have passed HSC/equivalent examination from Bangladesh Open University (BOU), English medium or abroad can apply. However, the acceptance of their application will be determined subject to equivalence. Candidates who have passed 5 subjects at “O” level and at least 2 subjects at “A” level through English medium will be able to participate in the admission test. Out of 5 subjects at “O” level and 2 subjects at “A” level, i.e. a total of seven (5+2) subjects, at least B grade in 4 subjects and at least C grade in 3 subjects respectively.

AdmissionTest method

Multiple choice and written tests will be conducted for admission to Jagannath University. The examination time for Units-A, B, C and D will be 1 hour. However, the examination time for Unit-E will be 1 hour and 30 minutes.

Note: (1) Students seeking admission to the Department of Music and Drama under Unit B and Film and Television under Unit D will have to appear for a practical examination of 50 marks based on the merit list after the results of the multiple-choice and written examination. A minimum of 20 marks will be obtained in the practical examination. The final merit list will be prepared based on the results of the multiple-choice, written and practical examinations. It is to be noted that a fixed fee will be applicable for the practical examination. The fee and schedule of the practical examination will be notified later through the website https://admission.jnu.ac.bd. Instead of the written examination of 48 marks for Unit E, a practical examination of 48 marks will be held.
