Dhaka Electric Supply Company (DESCO) Limited is entrusted with the responsibilities of operation, maintenance & development of the power system network and distribution of electricity within most of the areas of Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC), Purb achal and part of Tongi area. DESCO invites application from eligible candidates for appointment in the following posts on contractual basis.

Application Eligibility

House rent @ 50%/60% of basic per month as per DESCO pay scale-2016, two festival bonuses in a year, recognized provident fund, group insurance, encashment of earned leave and gratuity as per applicable rules of the company, medical allowances, transport allowances and other allowances (if applicable) will be provided as per company policy. Income tax shall have to be paid by the employee.

General Conditions

1. The age limit as on last date of application submission is maximum 32 years for all posts. Age will be calculated as of the last date of application submission.
2. Age limit is relax able up to 40 years for internal employees subject to fulfilling requisite educational qualifications.
3. Affidavit with respect to age will not be accepted.
4. Candidates in service will be required to apply through proper channels.
5. Incorrect/incomplete applications and applications received after deadline will not be entertained.
6. Persuasion of any kind will disqualify the candidate.
7. The quota system set by the government will be followed.
8. The appointing authority reserves the right to decline any of the post, accept or reject any application and increase or decrease number of posts/positions as it may seem proper and no explanation for such action will be provided to the applicant.
9. Preference will be given to male candidates for the position of ‘Security Guard’ which involves shifting duties.

Application Procedure

(i) Interested candidates have to apply only through the ‘Online Application Form’ wherein a scanned color photograph, signature, all educational certificates, NID, experience certificate (for SI 2) have to be uploaded in due places in the form. The online application form’s web link will be available on the website of Dhaka Electric Supply Company Limited (www.desco.gov.bd). Before filling up the application form, read the instructions carefully which will be available in DESCO website.

(ii) The applicant must pay Tk. 1000/- (One Thousand) for Sl 1 and Tk-500/- (Five Hundred) for SI 2 through Dutch Bangla Bank Ltd. (DBBL) Rocket service with following necessary directives mentioned in DESCO’s website (www.desco.gov.bd).
