The Directorate General of Medical Education under Medical Education & Family Welfare division of Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Bangladesh has already announced admission of foreign students in Government Medical Colleges and Dental College/Units for the academic year 2025-2026. In addition to admission in Government Medical Colleges/Dental Colleges/Units, the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare will consider application of foreign students for admission in Non-Government Medical Colleges/Dental Colleges/Dental Units in Bangladesh. List of Non-Government Medical Colleges & Dental Colleges/Dental units and availability of seats are enclosed at Annexure ‘A’. For Non-Government Medical Colleges & Dental Colleges/Dental units maximum number of foreign student are 45% of their total allocated seats.
Dental Admission Notice 2025 (foreign)
Criteria and procedure of application for foreign students are enclosed at Annexure ‘B’. Interested candidates have to submit an online application from 05th December, 2025 only through http://foreignstudents.dgme.gov.bd/login, website: www.dgme.gov.bd. No hard copy of application will be needed to submit to Bangladesh foreign mission abroad. Deadline of submission of online application is 15th March, 2026 for Non-Government Medical Colleges/Dental Colleges/Dental Units. No application will be considered after the deadline.
Guidelines for foreign students
Candidates have to upload recent Passport Size Photograph, Passport, all academic documents (certificate and marks sheet of ‘O’ level/10 class completion equivalent examination and ‘A’ level/12 class completion equivalent examination) and copy of Telegraphic Transfer (T.T)/SWIFT Message of USD 100$ (One Hundred US Dollar) in specific template of each online application. All submitted academic documents required to be attested by Ministry inistry of Education and Ministry of Foreign affairs of the respective countries. After submission of online application through online platform, candidates have to collect a system generated printed copy of the application form. Eligible applicant must submit the attested document to Bangladesh mission to obtain visa.
Dental Admission Qualifications
The applicants must have at least aggregated GPA 7.0 (seven) in ‘O’ level and ‘A’ level exam of individual GPA 5 (Five) scale. The applicants also must have grade point (GP) 3.50 (at least 60% marks) in Biology in ‘A’ level/12 class completion equivalent examination. Documents of admitted students
All original certificates, mark sheets and relevant documents should be submitted to the office of the principal of respective non-government medical colleges/dental colleges/dental units of Bangladesh at the time of admission.
Dental Admission Results
Admission will be continued into respective medical colleges/dental colleges/dental units from 15th April 2026 to 22nd May 2026. Students must follow the rules and regulations of the college, hostel and hospital authorities. Fabrication of any documents in the admission process is subjected to cancelation of admission which will be punishable under law. If any information or document or procedure is found fictitious in future, the admission will be void immediately and the ministry of health & family welfare of Bangladesh will not bear any responsibility.
Admission policy of MBBS/BDS course 2026 by Bangladesh Medical and Dental Council (BM&DC) will be applicable. The decision of admission committee (2025-2026) will be final in any matter for admission in medical colleges/dental college/units in Bangladesh. Criteria for Admission of Foreign Students in the MBBS and BDS Courses in the Non-Government Medical Colleges/Dental Colleges/Dental Units/Institutes in Bangladesh for 2025-2026 academic year under self-finance scheme.
A) Academic Records:
Must have passed qualifying examination of ‘O’ and ‘A’ level or equivalent examination with science background.
‘O’ level or equivalent examination passed not before 2022.
‘A’ level or equivalent examination passed in the year of 2024 or 2025.
*A’ level or equivalent exam must be completed within 3 years of ‘O’ level or equivalent exam.
Minimum aggregated GPA in ‘O’ level or equivalent and ‘A’ level or equivalent examination is 7.00 (seven)
Minimum GP in Biology: 3.50 (at least 60% marks) out of 5.00 scale in ‘A’ level or equivalent exam.
- B) For calculating GPA against the percentage of marks obtained in ‘O’ level or other equivalent exam only top 5 subjects are considered.
- C) For calculation of GPA against the marks obtained in ‘A’ level or equivalent exam, only 3 subjects (Physics, Chemistry and Biology) are considered.
- D) Application Form: Duly filled online application forms in specific template and upload the stated relevant documents from 05th December, 2025 to 15th March 2026.
All certificates must be duly attested by the competent authority, i.e. Education and the Foreign Ministries of the respective countries.
Successful applicants have to produce all academic certificates, admit cards and mark-sheets/transcripts in original at the time of their admission.
- E) Tuition Fees: Information regarding tuition fees charged by Non-Government Medical Colleges/Dental Colleges/Units can be obtained directly from the colleges concerned.
