Join the Ansar Battalion, participate in serving the country and public security. The disciplined, skilled and hardworking Ansar Battalion members of the Bangladesh Ansar and Village Defense Force are engaged in Operation Utthran with the Bangladesh Army in the Chittagong Hill Tracts and in maintaining public security and law and order with other forces in the plains. Applications are being invited from interested Bangladeshi male candidates only to fill the vacancies of Sepoys in the Ansar Battalion of the force. Candidates have to complete the application online.

The applicant must have the following qualifications:

Rules/procedures for applying online

• You can fill the application form by clicking on the link “Application for the post of Sepoy of Ansar Battalion” on the website of Bangladesh Ansar and Village Defense Force (www.ansarvdp.gov.bd) from the Union Digital Center (UDC) or any computer with online facilities. The link will be active from 06 August, 2025 to 20 August, 2025.
• The fee prescribed during online registration must be deposited by following the money transfer method displayed on the application portal, which is non-refundable.
• In case of any complications related to filling the application form and paying the fee during the application process, it is requested to contact the phone number 09677112244 between 10.00 am and 10.00 pm every day. After the registration is completed, the application form should be printed and saved online. The exam date and admit card will be notified through SMS to the mobile number provided in the application in due course.
• During the application process, the candidate must save the user ID and password provided via SMS on his/her mobile number, which will be required to download the admit card later.
• The admit card must be shown during the exam. Without the admit card, no one can participate in the exam.

Selection venue, date and time

• Place of selection: Bangladesh Ansar and VDP Academy, Safipur, Gazipur.
• Selection date and time: Notification will be sent via SMS to the mobile number mentioned in the application form submitted online.

Conducting medical and written examinations of candidates

In the selection process, candidates will undergo pre-initial health examination, physical fitness test, initial health examination, verification of required documents, written test, oral test and final health examination. Only initially selected candidates will be subjected to Blood Sugar, HbAIC,HBs Ag, Anti HCV, Serum Creatinine and Dope Test will be completed. It is to be noted that only those candidates who are eligible for Blood Sugar, HbAIC and Serum Creatinine tests, who are negative in HBs Ag and Anti HCV blood tests and who are Not Detected in Dope Test (Urine) will be considered as final selected. Later, after the completion of the police verification report, the appointment letter will be issued subject to the receipt of the correct investigation report.

Certificates/documents of selected candidates

• Candidates participating in the written examination must submit the following documents to the selection committee:
• Photocopy of original/temporary certificate of educational qualification attested by a 1st class Gazetted Officer.
• 6 copies of recent passport size color photographs attested by a 1st class gazetted officer.
• Citizenship certificate issued by the concerned Union Parishad Chairman/Municipal Mayor/Ward Councilor.
• Photocopy of National Identity Card (NID) attested by a 1st Class Gazetted Officer.
• Consent certificate signed by the guardian and countersigned by the Union Parishad Chairman/Municipal Mayor/Ward Councilor.
• Certificate issued by the concerned Union Parishad Chairman or, as the case may be, the Mayor of the Municipality or, in the case of a City Corporation, the concerned Ward Councilor, stating that the candidate is unmarried.
• Printed application form (Applicant Copy) and admit card downloaded from online.
• The National Identity Card (NID) and original copies of all certificates must be presented when appearing for the written and oral examinations.
• Candidates must bring a pen to participate in the exam.

Training location, duration and facilities

• Training venue: Bangladesh Ansar and VDP Academy, Safipur, Gazipur.
• The training period must be completed satisfactorily by participating in the 06 (six) month basic training as a trainee recruit soldier.
• During the training period, you will be provided with accommodation, food, clothing and medical facilities as per the training rules.

Special Note

• In case of sons of freedom fighters, martyred freedom fighters and heroines, proof: In case of sons of freedom fighters, martyred freedom fighters and heroines, original/temporary certificate of freedom fighter issued by the Ministry of Liberation War Affairs and certificate issued by the Chairman of the concerned Union Parishad/Mayor/Councillor of the Municipality/Ward Councillor of the City Corporation to the effect that the applicant is a child of freedom fighter/martyred freedom fighter/heroine.
• For candidates from ethnic minorities: Original/attested certificate issued by the appropriate authority.
• The quota system will be followed as per the rules.
• While this recruitment process is ongoing, any orders issued by the government regarding existing rules and regulations, quota system, age, and any other matters will be followed accordingly.
• The application starts on 06/08/2025 AD and the last date for application is 20/08/2025 AD.
• The laws, regulations, and latest policies of the Bangladesh Ansar and Village Defense Force will apply to selected Ansar Battalion members.
• In cases not mentioned in the notification, the latest rules and regulations issued by the government will apply.
